Friday Prayer Focus

27 January 2012 Posted in Articles | Comments Off

Today it is the turn of all the staff and leaders of our churches in the UK & Ireland to be prayed for.  Below are a few of the scriptures showing Paul and others requesting prayers.  May they inspire our prayers today.

Eph. 6:19     Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel,

Phil. 1:19  I know that through your prayers and the help given by the Spirit of Jesus Christ, what has happened to me will turn out for my deliverance.

Col. 4:3 And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains.

1Th. 5:25     Brothers, pray for us.

2Th. 3:1    Finally, brothers, pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you.  2 And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men, for not everyone has faith.

Philm.22  I hope to be restored to you in answer to your prayers.

Heb. 13:18     Pray for us.

It is the turn of the SE region in London to be the focus of our prayer chain this month.  Here are their requests.

Dear brothers and sisters,
We are thankful that you will be praying for the SE sector today. Prayer requests are:

  • For every member to grow in the fruit of the Spirit
  • For every member to grow their one another “see to it” relationships
  • For every member to grow in their love for the lost and the poor and needy
  • To become a fellowship that is devoted to prayer like never before.
  • For every family group to be fruitful
  • To raise up leaders to lead FGs in every borough in the SE where we do not currently have one including Kent
  • To baptize more single men
  • That the church in the SE will convert and reflect the diverse cultures around us in Eltham.
  • That the youth and family ministry will grow from strength to strength and to see many teens converting their school friends
  • To convert older kingdom kids who are not yet disciples
  • God Almighty to work the miraculous for those who are sick and with severe medical challenges to be healed and those praying to have children.

Tuesday Prayers – Parents, Marrieds & Children

24 January 2012 Posted in Articles | Comments Off

Our prayer focus today is for all the married people, all parents and all the children in our congregations across the UK & Ireland. Family life is so important to the stability and growth of the church, and the joy of Christian marriage and Christian homes is a spectacular testimony to the love of God. Please pray that nothing will disrupt the spiritual unity between married couples, or parents and their children.
